La Loire à Vélo

The Loire à Vélo is one of the most beautiful bike routes in France. This 900km itinerary starts at Cuffy (near Nevers) and goes all the way to the Atlantic Ocean at Saint-Brevin-les-Pins (Loire-Atlantique). The route runs primarilythrough areas listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites.

On a long trip or just for a day ride, the Loire à Vélo is easy to do, for families or for a first experience of cyclo-tourism.

Suggested route - 7 days - 288 km

Taking a week to ride the route from Cuffy to Blois is a great way to discover the wild side of the Loire river, its islands, the wines of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, the canal-bridge of Briare, the Sully-sur-Loire chateau, Orléans, the Chambord and Cheverny chateaux, the royal city of Blois.
